I painted “The Hours, pg 91,” to commemorate my favorite topic within paintings and literature, the fading of life. I incorporate a wilting flower as an ode to memento mori. On the guest check is a quote from my favorite book, The Hours. The Hours is a literary piece dedicated to Virginia Woolf, who captures the fleeting clamor of life within Mrs.Dalloway.
