My name is Rose Contreras, and I am a San Diego-based oil painter. After receiving a bachelor's in media culture and the arts, I continued to pursue the arts with continuing education at the New York Academy of Art. My past work explores the connection between heritage and the celebration of the physical body. My current work is focused on vibrant still lives. Integrating playfulness with the classical ode to the transience of life.

I am still conceptually evolving and am excited to further evolve my work.
